Penguins Secure 2nd Straight Victory Against Flyers

  After dropping the first three games to the Philadelphia Flyers, the Pittsburgh Penguins are officially making things interesting. The Penguins secured their second straight victory in Game 5 on Monday at PPG Paints Arena, defeating the Flyers in a nail-biting 3-2 win to keep their season alive. Sidney Crosby fueled the comeback with a pair of assists, while Elmer Soderblom, Connor Dewar, and Kris Letang each found the back of the net. Following a 4-2 win in Game 4, Pittsburgh has now cut the series lead to 3-2 and will look to force a decisive Game 7 when they travel back to Philadelphia on Wednesday. Devils 4-3 Win Against Columbus! 12/27/23

 






   The Devils played in Jersey against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Wednesday, December 27th. Tie after tie, the Devils won with a 4-3 score. A great game after Christmas break!


Here's the Devils lineup against the Blue Jackets:

   Jake Bean starts off the game, Ondrej Palat scores and ties the game not long after Jake Bean's goal! The final score of first period being 1-1.


   Justin Danforth breaks the tie! That being the only goal in second period, final score being 2-1.


   Dawson Mercer ties the game close to the end of third! Yegor Chinakhov breaks the tie.. LUUUUKKKKKKEEEEEE HUGHES SCORES AND TIES THE GAME 3-3! The Devils and Columbus head into overtime.


   Timo Meier wins it at 2:50 in overtime!



"It's a really important two points. We didn't play our best game, but we found a way to win, and that's the most important thing." Timo Meier said.
