Patrick Kane Returns to Chicago, Two-Year Deal

  On Thursday, the Chicago Blackhawks agreed to terms with former star forward Patrick Kane on a two-year, $16 million contract that includes a no-move clause. Patrick Kane played the first of his 19 NHL seasons with Chicago, winning the Stanley Cup three times in Chicago in 2010, 2013, and 2015. He has made it to the Stanley Cup Playoffs 11 times in his career, earning 138 points (53 goals, 85 assists) in 143 postseason games. Kane ranks third in franchise history in assists (80), points (132), and games played (136), and ranks fourth in goals (52). Last season with the Detroit Red Wings, the 37-year-old forward had 57 points (16 goals, 41 assists) in 67 games. He finished fourth on the Red Wings with 16 goals and 41 assists, ranking fifth with 57 points.    It was a hockey night in Pittsburgh! The Penguins played against the St. Louis Blues on Saturday, December 30th. They won with a 4-2 score!

   Drew O'Connor scores first for the Penguins close to the end of first! That being the only goal in first period, the score being 1-0.


   Robert Thomas ties the game in second. Evgeni Malkin scores and gets the Penguins back in the lead! The final score for second period being 2-1.


   Jeff Carter gets the Penguins to a 3-1 score in third! Kasperi Kapanen scores the last goal the Blues get for the rest of the game. CROSBY SCORES AN EMPTY-NETTER!! The final score being 4-2.
