Patrick Kane Returns to Chicago, Two-Year Deal

  On Thursday, the Chicago Blackhawks agreed to terms with former star forward Patrick Kane on a two-year, $16 million contract that includes a no-move clause. Patrick Kane played the first of his 19 NHL seasons with Chicago, winning the Stanley Cup three times in Chicago in 2010, 2013, and 2015. He has made it to the Stanley Cup Playoffs 11 times in his career, earning 138 points (53 goals, 85 assists) in 143 postseason games. Kane ranks third in franchise history in assists (80), points (132), and games played (136), and ranks fourth in goals (52). Last season with the Detroit Red Wings, the 37-year-old forward had 57 points (16 goals, 41 assists) in 67 games. He finished fourth on the Red Wings with 16 goals and 41 assists, ranking fifth with 57 points. Kane is one of two active NHL players (Alex Ovechkin) to secure 40-or-more points in each of the last 19 seasons and is one of just 19 players to do so in NHL history. Blackhawks Win Against The Flames 4-3, 1/7/24

   The Blackhawks were back at home for this game against Calgary on Sunday, January 7th. After a five-game losing streak, the Blackhawks finally broke the streak and won with a 4-3 score!

   Colin Blackwell gets the Hawks started soon into first, scoring his second of the season. Elias Lindholm scores - Chicago challenged the goal and it ended up with no goal. Nazem Kadri ties up the game close to the end of the first. The final score of the first period is 1-1.


   Andrew Mangiapane scores for the Flames, taking the lead. Philipp Kurashev ties up the game, this being his eighth goal of the season! Nikita Zaitsev nets one - the Blackhawks in the lead with a 3-2 score, being the final of the second period.


   Colin Blackwell scores his second of the night close to the end of the third! Nazem Kadri answers with his second of the night and his thirteenth goal of the season. The final score was 4-3.
