MacKenzie Weegar scored his 12th goal of the season, tying the game up at 1-1 with a wrist shot by Daniil Tarasov's blocker from the top slot. Getting Columbus the 2-1 lead, Damon Severson scores his sixth goal of the season. Connor Zary ties the game back up, 2-2, after he slid the rebound under Tarasov and into the net.    Extending it to a 4-2 score, Dmitri Voronkov scores on the power play. Adam Fantilli's initial shot had been blocked, however, Voronkov tapped the loose puck in and over the goal line. Fantilli, getting one in, strikes an empty-netter with his 12th goal of the season.

Daniil Tarasov after the Blue Jackets 5-2 win over Calgary: "I feel really good - They did a pretty decent job. I got a lot of block shots... It was huge for me. I didn't play for a week, so it was good."

Damon Severson on the team's win: "We found a way, we knew we had to grind, and raise our levels - Having a higher standard, each person, if each individual does their job, then you have the higher standard. Things are going to go your way... hasn't gone our way for most of the season - But tonight, it feels a lot better."
