Kadirova, Elridge Each Score Two, Torrent Falls 4-3 To Charge

  Photo via Seattle Torrent/PWHL The Torrent suffered their fourth straight loss when they took on the Ottawa Charge on Wednesday at TD Place, losing 4-3. Seattle came alive in the second period behind two goals from Jessie Eldridge. Alex Carpenter, who made history scoring the first-ever penalty shot goal in PWHL history, tied the game before Ottawa took the lead back with little time to play. Fanuza Kadirova found the back of the net twice for the Charge. Alexa Vasko and Emily Clark also scored to help secure the victory. The Torrent will look to regroup before hosting the Boston Fleet on March 11, while the Charge travel to the Prudential Center on Sunday for a showdown with the New York Sirens. Blues defeat the Kings in overtime 4-3, 1/28/24

   The Kings played against the Blues in St. Louis at the Enterprise Center on Sunday, January 28th. The game was a close win for either of the teams, going into overtime, and the Blues got the 4-3 score. The Blues now have five straight wins.

   Los Angeles strikes first - Adrian Kempe gave the Kings the 1-0 lead with his 17th goal of the season. Anze Kopitar found Kempe in the left circle for a one-timer. Nick Leddy ties up the game 1-1 with a slap shot from the high slot... 7:09 remaining in the first frame.


   Jaret Anderson-Dolan scores his first of the season while he was short-handed, getting the Kings back on top. Anderson-Dolan put the rebound in, top of the crease. Just 55 seconds after Anderson-Dolan's goal, Pavel Buchnevich ties it 2-2 on the power play. Buchnevich scored with a one-timer, coming from the left circle. Jordan Kyrou gave St. Louis the 3-2 lead... Kyrou scored with a wrist shot from the high slot. Tying the game back up, 3-3, Phillip Danault scored with a wrist shot from the slot.


   The third period was completely scoreless... the score was still 3-3, going into overtime.


   Brayden Schenn scores his 13th goal in overtime, winning the game for St. Louis 4-3.



Notes:

- Jordan Kyrou recorded 3 points - a goal and two assists

- Pavel Buchnevich had a goal and an assist

- Scott Perunovich had two assists

- Joel Hofer made 30 saves for the Blues

- 600 NHL games for Phillip Danault

- Scott Perunovich sustained a lower-body injury, not returning for the remainder of the third period.

- Brayden Schenn has six points during a five-game point streak (four goals, two assists)

- Robert Thomas had an assist and eight points during a five-game point streak (one goal, seven assists)

- David Rittich made 28 saves for the Kings
