Patrick Kane Returns to Chicago, Two-Year Deal

  On Thursday, the Chicago Blackhawks agreed to terms with former star forward Patrick Kane on a two-year, $16 million contract that includes a no-move clause. Patrick Kane played the first of his 19 NHL seasons with Chicago, winning the Stanley Cup three times in Chicago in 2010, 2013, and 2015. He has made it to the Stanley Cup Playoffs 11 times in his career, earning 138 points (53 goals, 85 assists) in 143 postseason games. Kane ranks third in franchise history in assists (80), points (132), and games played (136), and ranks fourth in goals (52). Last season with the Detroit Red Wings, the 37-year-old forward had 57 points (16 goals, 41 assists) in 67 games. He finished fourth on the Red Wings with 16 goals and 41 assists, ranking fifth with 57 points. Bruins Defeat The Devils With A 3-0 Score, 1/15/24

 






   The Devils had a tough game against the Bruins in Boston on Monday, January 15th. The Bruins beat the Devils with a 3-0 score, this being a good win for Boston.

   The first period was completely scoreless, 0-0.


   Charlie Coyle scores the first goal of the game and his 15th of the season. The final score of the middle frame was 1-0, Boston in the lead.


   David Pastrnak nets one, his 26th of the season! Trent Frederic scores an empty-netter - this being his 13th goal of the season. The final score overall was 3-0.



David Pastrnak on the Bruins 3-0 win against the Devils: "The first period set the tempo for the rest of the game. We had one of the better starts we had for a while. We just try to make sure we keep going... good win to come back and get the two points."


"I'm going to compete and give the team a chance to win every night." Jeremy Swayman spoke after the Bruins win against the Devils.



- Brendan Smith didn't come back out with the rest of the Devils for the second period due to a leg injury.

- Jeremy Swayman made a 31-save shutout against the Devils - this being his third of the season and the 12th in his career. Swayman made it to third place on the list of most career shutouts before age 26.
