Patrick Kane Returns to Chicago, Two-Year Deal

  On Thursday, the Chicago Blackhawks agreed to terms with former star forward Patrick Kane on a two-year, $16 million contract that includes a no-move clause. Patrick Kane played the first of his 19 NHL seasons with Chicago, winning the Stanley Cup three times in Chicago in 2010, 2013, and 2015. He has made it to the Stanley Cup Playoffs 11 times in his career, earning 138 points (53 goals, 85 assists) in 143 postseason games. Kane ranks third in franchise history in assists (80), points (132), and games played (136), and ranks fourth in goals (52). Last season with the Detroit Red Wings, the 37-year-old forward had 57 points (16 goals, 41 assists) in 67 games. He finished fourth on the Red Wings with 16 goals and 41 assists, ranking fifth with 57 points. Kane is one of two active NHL players (Alex Ovechkin) to secure 40-or-more points in each of the last 19 seasons and is one of just 19 players to do so in NHL history. Bruins Rookie Matt Poitras & Goaltender Linus Ullmark Injuries - 1/9/24

 





 


 

   Both Matt Poitras and Linus Ullmark went down the tunnel in last night's game against the Arizona Coyotes.

    Poitras left less than 3 minutes into the third period holding his shoulder after taking a hit from Coyotes defenseman Sean Durzi along the boards. Ullmark was helped out by teammates after stretching for a save in overtime. There aren't any updates on either of the players except Coach Jim Montgomery saying Poitras has an upper-body injury, and Ullmark has a lower-body injury.


   It, unfortunately, looks like most teams are cursed with injuries this season... Will post another update as soon as there's more on Matt Poitras and Linus Ullmark.
