Patrick Kane Returns to Chicago, Two-Year Deal

  On Thursday, the Chicago Blackhawks agreed to terms with former star forward Patrick Kane on a two-year, $16 million contract that includes a no-move clause. Patrick Kane played the first of his 19 NHL seasons with Chicago, winning the Stanley Cup three times in Chicago in 2010, 2013, and 2015. He has made it to the Stanley Cup Playoffs 11 times in his career, earning 138 points (53 goals, 85 assists) in 143 postseason games. Kane ranks third in franchise history in assists (80), points (132), and games played (136), and ranks fourth in goals (52). Last season with the Detroit Red Wings, the 37-year-old forward had 57 points (16 goals, 41 assists) in 67 games. He finished fourth on the Red Wings with 16 goals and 41 assists, ranking fifth with 57 points. Buffalo Sabres Defeat The San Jose Sharks 3-0, 1/15/24

   The Sharks played in Buffalo on Monday, January 15th. This was a bad loss for San Jose, but it was a good 3-0 win for the Sabres.

   The first period was completely scoreless, 0-0.


   Casey Mittelstadt scored late in the second - this was his 12th of the season. Alex Tuch nets one, 5:23 remaining in the middle frame. 2-0 was the final score of the second period.


   Jordan Greenway strikes an empty-netter! The final overall score was 3-0.



"Once we got going, we looked fresh. It was a good win." Casey Mittelstadt spoke postgame about Buffalo's 3-0 win against the Sharks.
