Penguins Secure 2nd Straight Victory Against Flyers

  After dropping the first three games to the Philadelphia Flyers, the Pittsburgh Penguins are officially making things interesting. The Penguins secured their second straight victory in Game 5 on Monday at PPG Paints Arena, defeating the Flyers in a nail-biting 3-2 win to keep their season alive. Sidney Crosby fueled the comeback with a pair of assists, while Elmer Soderblom, Connor Dewar, and Kris Letang each found the back of the net. Following a 4-2 win in Game 4, Pittsburgh has now cut the series lead to 3-2 and will look to force a decisive Game 7 when they travel back to Philadelphia on Wednesday. Canadiens 3-2 Win Against The Devils 1/17/24

 






   The Devils played at The Rock against the Canadiens on Wednesday, January 17th. Both teams played great, unfortunately, the Devils had a rough start until they got two goals in. However, the Canadiens defeated the Devils with a 3-2 score.

   Juraj Slafkovsky scores the first goal of the game and his sixth of the season, putting the Canadiens in the lead. The final score of the first period was 1-0.


   Joshua Roy strikes the second goal of the game for the Canadiens with his first NHL goal! 2-0 was the final score of the middle frame.


   Luke Hughes scores the first goal for the Devils with his eighth goal of the season early in the third period! Alexander Holtz nets one soon after Hughes, tying up the game with his 11th of the season. Cole Caufield scores the third goal for the Canadiens - the final score was 3-2.



"I think we got to clean some things up obviously. I like the way our power play kind of got us back in the game. Tough finish for us and definitely something we got to clean up." Luke Hughes spoke about the Devils 3-2 loss against Montreal.
