Patrick Kane Returns to Chicago, Two-Year Deal

  On Thursday, the Chicago Blackhawks agreed to terms with former star forward Patrick Kane on a two-year, $16 million contract that includes a no-move clause. Patrick Kane played the first of his 19 NHL seasons with Chicago, winning the Stanley Cup three times in Chicago in 2010, 2013, and 2015. He has made it to the Stanley Cup Playoffs 11 times in his career, earning 138 points (53 goals, 85 assists) in 143 postseason games. Kane ranks third in franchise history in assists (80), points (132), and games played (136), and ranks fourth in goals (52). Last season with the Detroit Red Wings, the 37-year-old forward had 57 points (16 goals, 41 assists) in 67 games. He finished fourth on the Red Wings with 16 goals and 41 assists, ranking fifth with 57 points. Kane is one of two active NHL players (Alex Ovechkin) to secure 40-or-more points in each of the last 19 seasons and is one of just 19 players to do so in NHL history. Canadiens 3-2 Win Against The Devils 1/17/24

 






   The Devils played at The Rock against the Canadiens on Wednesday, January 17th. Both teams played great, unfortunately, the Devils had a rough start until they got two goals in. However, the Canadiens defeated the Devils with a 3-2 score.

   Juraj Slafkovsky scores the first goal of the game and his sixth of the season, putting the Canadiens in the lead. The final score of the first period was 1-0.


   Joshua Roy strikes the second goal of the game for the Canadiens with his first NHL goal! 2-0 was the final score of the middle frame.


   Luke Hughes scores the first goal for the Devils with his eighth goal of the season early in the third period! Alexander Holtz nets one soon after Hughes, tying up the game with his 11th of the season. Cole Caufield scores the third goal for the Canadiens - the final score was 3-2.



"I think we got to clean some things up obviously. I like the way our power play kind of got us back in the game. Tough finish for us and definitely something we got to clean up." Luke Hughes spoke about the Devils 3-2 loss against Montreal.
