Penguins Secure 2nd Straight Victory Against Flyers

  After dropping the first three games to the Philadelphia Flyers, the Pittsburgh Penguins are officially making things interesting. The Penguins secured their second straight victory in Game 5 on Monday at PPG Paints Arena, defeating the Flyers in a nail-biting 3-2 win to keep their season alive. Sidney Crosby fueled the comeback with a pair of assists, while Elmer Soderblom, Connor Dewar, and Kris Letang each found the back of the net. Following a 4-2 win in Game 4, Pittsburgh has now cut the series lead to 3-2 and will look to force a decisive Game 7 when they travel back to Philadelphia on Wednesday. Capitals VS Kings 4-3, 1/7/24

   The Kings played in Washington on Sunday, January 7th. It was a close win for the Kings, but the Capitals won with a 4-3 score. The Kings have been on a losing streak - five games now where they have lost.

   Nic Dowd starts off the game, with the Capitals in the lead. Dowd has scored in back-to-back games, recording four points in the last five. Adrian Kempe ties up the game with 12:48 remaining. Kevin Fiala gets the Kings in the lead, this being his ninth goal of the season. Dylan Strome ties it up - 2-2 being the final score of the second.


   Kevin Fiala strikes back early in the third, this being his tenth of the season! Nicolas Aube-Kubel scores his fourth of the season and ties the game back up. John Carlson scores - the final score being 4-3.
