Penguins Secure 2nd Straight Victory Against Flyers

  After dropping the first three games to the Philadelphia Flyers, the Pittsburgh Penguins are officially making things interesting. The Penguins secured their second straight victory in Game 5 on Monday at PPG Paints Arena, defeating the Flyers in a nail-biting 3-2 win to keep their season alive. Sidney Crosby fueled the comeback with a pair of assists, while Elmer Soderblom, Connor Dewar, and Kris Letang each found the back of the net. Following a 4-2 win in Game 4, Pittsburgh has now cut the series lead to 3-2 and will look to force a decisive Game 7 when they travel back to Philadelphia on Wednesday. Dallas Stars Beat The Wild With A 4-0 Score & Matt Murray Gets 1st NHL Shutout - 1/8/24

   The Stars played in Minnesota on Monday, January 8th. Dallas got a great 4-0 win and Matt Murray got his 1st NHL shutout!

   First period there was only one goal, Roope Hintz! He scored his sixteenth of the season, 10:44 remaining in the first. The final of the first was 1-0.


   The second period was completely scoreless - 1-0.


   Tyler Seguin scores early in the third, this being his fifteenth of the season! Radek Faksa nets one with 11:38 remaining - scoring his third goal. Jason Robertson, or should I say Robo, scores the fourth for the Stars! Robertson scored his fourteenth goal of the season. Final score, 4-0.



- Matt Murray got his 1st NHL Shutout and hopefully will get many more!
