Jerez Preview: Can Anyone Stop the #72?

Lately, Marco Bezzecchi is making winning look easy. With a flawless hat trick of victories in Thailand, Brazil, and the USA, the #72 has treated the early-season standings like his own personal victory lap. Next stop: Jerez. *Sorry for the lack of photos! Hoping to get permission eventually.*

Both the Seattle Kraken and the Vegas Golden Knights, the two newest NHL franchises, came together at the T-Mobile Park for the 2024 Winter Classic. The T-Mobile Park is located in Seattle, Washington, the home of the Seattle Mariners. This being the first time the Kraken hosts the Winter Classic, making this event more exciting as they are the newest NHL team since 2021!

The Kraken quickly took over the Winter Classic and stayed strong throughout the whole game! With this great victory, the Kraken has extended their point streak and their winning streak to five games. Joey Daccord shut out Vegas, stopping all 35 shots - this being his second career shutout and being the first-ever shutout in Winter Classic history!

Seattle's star defenseman, Vince Dunn, had an amazing shot! Eeli Tolvanen redirected the puck and scored! This being Eeli Tolvanen's 10th goal of the season. Dunn's assist marks his sixth point in last four games! He also leads Seattle with 31 points. The final score of first period being 1-0.

Will Borgen scores only a few minutes into second period! The Kraken now in the lead by 2 goals and the goal being Borgen's first of the season! The final score of second period being 2-0.

Yanni Gourde scored his 5th of the season! This being the last goal of the game - the Kraken wins with a 3-0 score. Definitely a great way to start of 2024!

Due to Joey Daccord making history in the NHL Winter Classic this new year, he received the first Cocoa Cup!

Here are some of what I believe are the best photos from the Winter Classic!
