Jack Hughes Injury Update - Devils VS Blackhawks

 







   The Devils VS Blackhawks game on Friday, January 5th - was full of constant fighting and injuries after the big hit Connor Bedard took by Brendan Smith. The Devils won that game with a 4-2 score in the third frame after the Blackhawks had been in the lead with a 2-1 score.


   Late into the third period, Jack Hughes had suffered an injury. No one knew exactly what it was that he injured - possibly a knee, ankle, or wrist even. He was definitely in some kind of discomfort in a non-contact play. He didn't return for the remainder of the game.


Injury Update From the 6th of January - Lindy Ruff


   On Tuesday, January 9th - Lindy Ruff gave another update on all his injured players after practice.

   Lindy Ruff on Jack Hughes Injury: "Jack is going to be, in his case, is just going to be weeks - not months. So we'll evaluate him just week to week."

   

"The other guys we don't expect back short term - probably the closest guy that is moving along is Timo Meier." Lindy Ruff said, speaking about the other injured players.
