Patrick Kane Returns to Chicago, Two-Year Deal

  On Thursday, the Chicago Blackhawks agreed to terms with former star forward Patrick Kane on a two-year, $16 million contract that includes a no-move clause. Patrick Kane played the first of his 19 NHL seasons with Chicago, winning the Stanley Cup three times in Chicago in 2010, 2013, and 2015. He has made it to the Stanley Cup Playoffs 11 times in his career, earning 138 points (53 goals, 85 assists) in 143 postseason games. Kane ranks third in franchise history in assists (80), points (132), and games played (136), and ranks fourth in goals (52). Last season with the Detroit Red Wings, the 37-year-old forward had 57 points (16 goals, 41 assists) in 67 games. He finished fourth on the Red Wings with 16 goals and 41 assists, ranking fifth with 57 points. Predators Defeat The Stars In Dallas 6-3, 1/12/24

   The Predators played against the Stars in Dallas on Friday, January 12th. The Predators won with a 6-3 score! This was an unfortunate loss for Dallas - they had a two-game win streak against the Wild.

   The first period was completely scoreless, 0-0.


   Jeremy Lauzon scores the first goal of the game and the Predators are in the lead with 10:38 remaining in the middle frame. Tommy Novak nets one, this being his sixth of the season! 2-0 was the final score of the second period.


   Jani Hakanpaa gets the Stars started early in the third period! Ryan O'Reilly scores the third goal for the Predators - and Wyatt Johnston strikes the second for Dallas! Filip Forsberg scores, the Predators in the lead by two. Matt Duchene nets one, this being the third and last goal from the Stars. Gustav Nyquist scores an empty-netter, the fifth goal for Nashville, and Juuso Parssinen scores an empty-netter with 30 seconds remaining! The final score was 6-3.
