Penguins Secure 2nd Straight Victory Against Flyers

  After dropping the first three games to the Philadelphia Flyers, the Pittsburgh Penguins are officially making things interesting. The Penguins secured their second straight victory in Game 5 on Monday at PPG Paints Arena, defeating the Flyers in a nail-biting 3-2 win to keep their season alive. Sidney Crosby fueled the comeback with a pair of assists, while Elmer Soderblom, Connor Dewar, and Kris Letang each found the back of the net. Following a 4-2 win in Game 4, Pittsburgh has now cut the series lead to 3-2 and will look to force a decisive Game 7 when they travel back to Philadelphia on Wednesday. Rangers Win 4-1 Against The Blackhawks In NY 1/4/24

   The Blackhawks played in New York on Thursday, January 4th. The Rangers defeated the Blackhawks with a 4-1 score.

   The Rangers strike first - Artemi Panarin scores the first goal. Panarin's goal being the only goal in first period, 1-0.


   Chris Kreider scores, the Rangers leading by two. Colin Blackwell scores the first and unfortunately, the only goal for the Blackhawks - The final score of second period being 2-1.

 

   Jacob Trouba nets one, Jimmy Vesey scoring after! Final score being 4-1.



 

 




"We finished that second period really strong," Colin Blackwell said. "I think the name of our game has to be moving forward when bad things happen. When things don't go our way, we have to put the work boots on and just get back to work."
