Kadirova, Elridge Each Score Two, Torrent Falls 4-3 To Charge

  Photo via Seattle Torrent/PWHL The Torrent suffered their fourth straight loss when they took on the Ottawa Charge on Wednesday at TD Place, losing 4-3. Seattle came alive in the second period behind two goals from Jessie Eldridge. Alex Carpenter, who made history scoring the first-ever penalty shot goal in PWHL history, tied the game before Ottawa took the lead back with little time to play. Fanuza Kadirova found the back of the net twice for the Charge. Alexa Vasko and Emily Clark also scored to help secure the victory. The Torrent will look to regroup before hosting the Boston Fleet on March 11, while the Charge travel to the Prudential Center on Sunday for a showdown with the New York Sirens.    The Predators played in Dallas on Saturday, January 6th. It was a close win for the Stars, but the Predators won with a 4-3 score. This was a good win for Nashville after their 6-3 loss against the Calgary Flames on Thursday, January 4th.

   Gustav Nyquist gets the Predators in the lead with 8:34 remaining in the first period - this being the only goal in the first, 1-0.


   Sam Steel scores the first goal for Dallas and ties up the game - it ended up being offside, with no goal. Luke Evangelista gets Nashville a two-goal lead! Tyler Seguin cuts the Predator's lead, and Jamie Benn ties it up with only 45 seconds left in the second - 2-2 being the final score of the second period.


    Filip Forsberg gets the Predators in the lead early into the third. Forsberg strikes his second of the night, and the Predators are now in a two-goal lead! Jason Robertson (Robo) gets one back - this being the last goal of the night. The final score was 4-3.



"I think especially with his absence, we just got to pick it up," Jason Robertson on Miro Heiskanen. "We have a lot of talent in this room and we're just gonna have to adjust without him."
