Tampa Bay Wins With A 3-2 Score In OT, 1/9/24

 






   The Lightning played against the LA Kings in Tampa on Tuesday, January 9th. Tampa Bay won in overtime with a 3-2 score. This was a good win for the Lightning after their 7-3 loss against the Boston Bruins on January 6th.

   The first frame was a completely scoreless period, 0-0.


   Phillip Danault strikes first, this being his eighth goal of the season. Matt Roy scores a few minutes after Danault, LA in the lead by two. Anthony Cirelli scores - the goal ended up not counting due to goaltender interference. The final score was 2-0.


   Tyler Motte scores the first goal for Tampa Bay, this being his third goal of the season. Brandon Hagel ties up the game 2-2. The Lightning and Kings end up going into overtime.


   Nick Perbix wins it with his first of the season for the Lightning in overtime!
