Patrick Kane Returns to Chicago, Two-Year Deal

  On Thursday, the Chicago Blackhawks agreed to terms with former star forward Patrick Kane on a two-year, $16 million contract that includes a no-move clause. Patrick Kane played the first of his 19 NHL seasons with Chicago, winning the Stanley Cup three times in Chicago in 2010, 2013, and 2015. He has made it to the Stanley Cup Playoffs 11 times in his career, earning 138 points (53 goals, 85 assists) in 143 postseason games. Kane ranks third in franchise history in assists (80), points (132), and games played (136), and ranks fourth in goals (52). Last season with the Detroit Red Wings, the 37-year-old forward had 57 points (16 goals, 41 assists) in 67 games. He finished fourth on the Red Wings with 16 goals and 41 assists, ranking fifth with 57 points. Kane is one of two active NHL players (Alex Ovechkin) to secure 40-or-more points in each of the last 19 seasons and is one of just 19 players to do so in NHL history. The Devils Defeat The Panthers 4-1, 1/13/24

 






   The Devils played against the Panthers in Florida on Saturday, January 14th. The Devils started off in the lead, the Panthers were only able to get one goal in the whole game - the Devils won with a 4-1 score!

   Alexander Holtz starts off the Devils with his tenth of the season. Michael McLeod nets one nearing the end of the first period - 2-0 was the final score of the first.


   Erik Haula scores his tenth of the season with 16:09 remaining in the middle frame. Sam Reinhart scores his 31st, and the only goal for the Panthers this game - 3-1 was the final score of the second period.


   John Marino strikes an empty-netter! The Devils won with a 4-1 score.



"That's a great game from everybody, a lot of great defensive plays, a lot of big blocks - they played really well tonight." Nico Daws spoke postgame about the Devils win and how he played during the game.
