Penguins Secure 2nd Straight Victory Against Flyers

  After dropping the first three games to the Philadelphia Flyers, the Pittsburgh Penguins are officially making things interesting. The Penguins secured their second straight victory in Game 5 on Monday at PPG Paints Arena, defeating the Flyers in a nail-biting 3-2 win to keep their season alive. Sidney Crosby fueled the comeback with a pair of assists, while Elmer Soderblom, Connor Dewar, and Kris Letang each found the back of the net. Following a 4-2 win in Game 4, Pittsburgh has now cut the series lead to 3-2 and will look to force a decisive Game 7 when they travel back to Philadelphia on Wednesday. Vancouver Canucks 5-Game Win Streak Broken By Blue Jackets 1/15/24

   The Canucks played against the Blue Jackets in Columbus on Monday, January 15th. The Canucks had an unfortunate loss against the Blue Jackets - they have been on a 5-game win streak and definitely had a great chance of winning in this game.

   J.T. Miller gives the Canucks the lead early in the first period! Yegor Chinakhov scores, tying up the game 1-1 - Conor Garland nets one and gets Vancouver right back in the lead. The final score of the first period was 2-1.


   Dmitri Voronkov ties the game back up, 2-2 - Elias Pettersson answers back, getting the Canucks a one-goal lead. 3-2 was the final score of the middle frame.


   Dmitri Voronkov scores his second of the night and his ninth of the season - tying the game 3-3, being the only goal in the third period - they go to overtime, then a shootout!
