Colin Blackwell scored the lone goal for the Blackhawks against the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday, February 21st. Connor Bedard's point streak (two goals, four assists) from the past three games, following his return after being out due to a fractured jaw. However, Bedard played hard during this game against the Flyers.

Travis Sanheim began the scoring at 13:42 of the first period to give Philadelphia a 1-0 lead early. Sanheim shot from around the top of the right face-off circle, the puck deflecting off Alex Vlasic's stick and into the net. Scoring his fourth goal of the season - Colin Blackwell obtained a lead pass from Joey Anderson off the right-wing boards, he moved in on goal and slid past Jamie Drysdale, and got the puck past Samuel Ersson's glove. The score remained 1-1 for the remainder of the first frame.
Putting Philadelphia ahead 2-1 at 16:45 of the middle frame - Travis Konecny secured his fifth goal in his seven-game point streak. He collected the puck deep in the Flyers' zone before skating up the ice and scoring a filthy wrister at the left face-off dot. Garnet Hathway extended the Flyers' lead to 3-1 off a rebound of Noah Cates' shot from the slot.
In the third, the Blackhawks made sure the score stayed at 3-1 as they protected their empty net near the end of the period. The Flyers ended their two-game losing streak that began after a four-game win streak when they lost against the Toronto Maple Leafs in overtime.
Colin Blackwell on the Blackhawks' loss and the frustration of not being able to get wins: "Ultimately, it came down to they kind of out-worked us in some different aspects of the game... It's frustrating. It's just doing the little things in order to get the ship moving in the right direction. I think we can only say so many times that we're close. It's been close for a long time now. It's definitely frustrating knowing that in a game like that, I thought we had opportunities to take over the game and we didn't."
Notes:
- Colin Blackwell's fourth goal of the season got him out of his 10-game point drought and his 16-game goal drought.
- Joey Anderson assisted Blackwell's goal, getting his 10th point of the season... a new career best.
- Both Reese Johnson and Isaak Phillips returned to the lineup after missing the last three games as healthy scratches.
- Connor Bedard skated 24:49 of ice time, which had set a career mark during his rookie campaign.
Bedard had 3 shots on goal, as well as four individual scoring chances.
- Arvid Soderblom made 30 saves out of 33 shots for Chicago
- Travis Konecny extended his point streak to seven games... He has five goals and seven assists during this streak.
- Samuel Ersson made 22 saves for Philadelphia
