Both Matt Boldy and Joel Eriksson Ek had a goal and an assist in Minnesota's 4th win straight on Wednesday, February 14th. The Wild defeated the Coyotes, who have lost 7 games straight, 3-1. Marc-Andre Fleury made 25 saves for Minnesota before being replaced by Karel Vejmelka who made 13 saves.

Opening the scoring and giving Minnesota a 1-0 lead in the first period - Joel Eriksson Ek struck his 24th goal of the season and his third goal in the past two games. Eriksson Ek scored on the power play after he had gotten a pass from Matt Boldy... Kirill Kaprizov bumped a pass off the end boards to Boldy and Boldy sent the puck between the skates of Travis Dermott to Eriksson Ek, who scored a one-timer in the low slot.
It appeared that Nick Schmaltz had tied it 1-1 in the second period, but the goal had been challenged by Minnesota for goaltender interference.
Jonas Brodin extended the Wild's lead 2-0 late in the middle frame. With only 20.9 seconds left, Brodin grabbed up a loose puck from behind the net and started a rush before taking Connor Dewar's pass in the right circle... Brodin scored his third of the season with a wrist shot.
At 14:39, Logan Cooley cut it 2-1 with a five-hole at the left circle. Joel Eriksson Ek sent a cross-ice pass from the neutral zone to Matt Boldy, who scored with a shot that ended up getting kicked right into the net with his right skate by Karel Vejmelka. The Minnesota Wild got the 3-1 final in Arizona.
Matt Boldy on the Wild's 3-1 win against the Arizona Coyotes: "It's just nice to win. I think that's the biggest thing, just being able to make a difference. It gets frustrating when stuff doesn't go in, the team's losing, and you feel like you can do more... We got 20 guys playing together, goalies are playing great... and we're scoring goals. So we just got to keep it going."
Marc-Andre Fleury on the Wild's 3-1 win: "We're playing good. We had the bucket on a lot of chances and shots... We stuck with it all game and that goal in the third period, nobody changed the way we play, it always kept the same way."
Notes:
- Kirill Kaprizov's assist marked his 50th point of the season (20 goals, 30 assists in 46 games). Kaprizov is the first player in Minnesota Wild history with four consecutive 50-point seasons.
- Joel Eriksson Ek has six goals in his past eight games
- Connor Ingram made 28 saves for Arizona... Ingram is also expected to be out for around a week, according to Andre Tourigny.
