Jerez Preview: Can Anyone Stop the #72?

Lately, Marco Bezzecchi is making winning look easy. With a flawless hat trick of victories in Thailand, Brazil, and the USA, the #72 has treated the early-season standings like his own personal victory lap. Next stop: Jerez. Every lap was led by him, crossing the finish line with a 5.5-second cushion over Pedro Acosta, setting the tone for a flawless start to the season. Brazil: In a treacherous race in Goiânia that was shortened due to track degradation concerns, Bez pulled an ambush at the first corner. He kept his cool on a track that felt more like a gravel pit than a circuit, bringing home back-to-back wins from second on the grid. Mitchell Chaffee on the loss and their tough third period, and how the team makes sure the third is tougher for the other team: "It's tough... We need these points, so it's a tough one to swallow, but luckily we're right back at it on Saturday and we have to win," - "It's obviously doing the little things. It's getting in deep and forechecking well, but I think a lot of it comes down to penalties and it seems to be biting us a little bit now. I think that's a big part that we can kind of clean up a little bit."

Rasmus Dahlin on the third period and the overtime win: "It wasn't pretty, but we got some individual skill and talent, this group... We knew coming into this game that this game was really, really important. So I'm just happy we won."
