Wednesday, March 20th - The Dallas Stars hosted the Arizona Coyotes and ended up pulling through with a 5-2 victory. This was their second straight win after a two-game losing streak that came after a five-game win streak. Dallas has had an amazing season with 42 wins so far.
Following their 5-2 victory against Arizona, the Stars posted their usual win graphic. The photo was a professionally taken photograph of road kill, a dead red fox, which wasn't at all gory or even horrid. The post on 'X' had gotten a lot of backlash, as well as the Coyotes' social media coordinator posting about the graphic.
Searching online for these images, you'd see there are way more gory and horrific photos of road kill or just deceased animals on the road or not.
As you can see in the image, it's a green truck driving away from a dead fox on the road, which is a funny meme to post after the Stars' victory.
This was the Arizona Coyotes' response and the Stars replying back... People under the Dallas Stars' reply were hating on the admin, calling them childish for the reply. To be honest, as a Stars fan myself, the admin is funny - the only lame and childish comebacks had come from both the Coyotes and the people offended by road kill, which is something you see daily (if you do not live in a city).
The Coyotes also put up a response to the Stars' reply, implying that the Dallas Stars' social media coordinator should start looking for jobs before getting "fired".
However, if you truly want to get logical, the only poor graphic is the one the Arizona Coyotes posted after their 4-1 victory against the New Jersey Devils on Saturday, March 16th.
It is an AI-generated image of Devils player Timo Meier, dead, in the trunk of a car. Now, I find it childish, but since people are offended by road kill - I wanted to show what is actually WRONG and considered an ACTUAL poor graphic.
As you can see, it's the trunk of a car with Timo Meier's arm hanging out of it. Even the 'L' for Devils is replaced with a gun... You could even go as far as saying this could be seen as a death threat.
So, the true poor graphic between these two is the one posted by the Arizona Coyotes. Even if the Coyotes were to put up a photo of a real deceased person, would people still see the road kill more horrid and disturbing? Most likely, based on the way they've acted since the Dallas Stars posted their graphic.
I agree. I think the Coyotes really messed up with their hypocrisy.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a problem with either meme but if the Coyotes wants to cry over a funny meme from the Stars well, they should then be held accountable for their body in a trunk meme.
