On Sunday, December 15th, the Hershey Bears announced that they have granted Logan Day a mutual release from his AHL contract, effective immediately, allowing him to pursue an opportunity overseas. Day will be signing with the Traktor Chelyabinsk of the KHL, and once he arrives, paperwork will be signed. He'll be joining another former Bears player, Zachary Fucale, who signed a two-year contract with Traktor Chelyabinsk on July 6th, 2023.

The 30-year-old defenseman played with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms for two seasons, where he appeared in a total of 95 games, recorded seven goals, and collected 26 assists for a total of 33 points before heading to Hershey to play for the Bears.

Logan Day played in a Bears sweater for two seasons, as well as appearing in playoffs both seasons. He played a total of 90 games with Hershey, not including playoffs, recording six goals, and picking up 31 assists for a total of 37 points. Day did not appear in any of the games for Hershey of the 2024-25 season as he recovered from an upper-body injury.

In playoffs, Day played in a total of 34 games, collected five goals throughout both seasons and picked up 16 assists. In the 2023 Calder Cup Playoffs, he collected 14 points (3 goals, 11 assists) as the Bears won their 12th Calder Cup, and in the 2024 postseason, Day picked up seven points (2 goals, 5 assists) as the Hershey Bears claimed a second straight title.
