Jerez Preview: Can Anyone Stop the #72?

Lately, Marco Bezzecchi is making winning look easy. With a flawless hat trick of victories in Thailand, Brazil, and the USA, the #72 has treated the early-season standings like his own personal victory lap. Next stop: Jerez. Will the win streak continue in Spain, or can anyone actually disrupt the rhythm of Bez? The "Global Takeover" in Three Acts: Thailand: To open the season in Buriram, Bezzecchi converted a dominant pole position into a Sunday masterclass. Every lap was led by him, crossing the finish line with a 5.5-second cushion over Pedro Acosta, setting the tone for a flawless start to the season. Brazil: In a treacherous race in Goiânia that was shortened due to track degradation concerns, Bez pulled an ambush at the first corner. He kept his cool on a track that felt more like a gravel pit than a circuit, bringing home back-to-back wins from second on the grid. Matt Rempe Recalled From AHL Hartford, Kreider Placed On IR

On Monday, January 6th, it was announced that Matt Rempe had been sent down to the AHL Hartford Wolf Pack. However, the New York Rangers called him up due to placing Chris Kreider on IR, retroactive to Sunday.

With an upper-body injury, Kreider was missing from the Rangers' lineup on Sunday, a win against the Chicago Blackhawks. He will be out through at least next Sunday and will miss at least three games. Kreider may miss another three games, however, due to the schedule, it could be more than that.

On Saturday, the Rangers will be out west when Chris Kreider is eligible to return to the lineup. They will be taking on the Vegas Golden Knights to start their three-game road trip before heading back home to Madison Square Garden to host the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Likely, Kreider won't be making his return on Saturday against Vegas, and he may miss out on the next two games against the Colorado Avalanche and the Utah Hockey Club, however, that's unclear as of right now.

So, with Chris Kreider on IR, the Rangers recalled Matt Rempe, who had just returned to the Hartford Wolf Pack after serving an eight-game suspension.
