Bezzecchi Bounces Back to Win Thailand GP

Marco Bezzecchi’s first race win with the Aprilia factory team couldn’t have gone much better. After the frustration of Saturday’s Sprint crash, Bez looked incredibly calm on Sunday, grabbing the holeshot from pole position and controlling the race from the front. He ended up crossing the line around five seconds clear of Pedro Acosta, which is no small feat in the 40°C heat they were dealing with in Thailand.

The race was as much about tire management as it was about pure speed. While Marco Bezzecchi was hitting his marks and pulling away, the battle behind him was chaotic. The big talking point was the end of Ducati’s historic 88-race podium streak. Between Marc Márquez’s tire failure and Francesco Bagnaia struggling for pace, it was the first time in years we haven't seen a Ducati on the box. Seeing Aprilia put four bikes in the top five shows that the pecking order might be shifting a lot earlier than people expected.

Bez heads into the next round in Brazil sitting second in the standings, just seven points behind Acosta. Considering he’s now won the last three Sunday GPs stretching back to the end of 2025, he clearly has the momentum. If he can keep this level of consistency on the RS-GP, he’s going to be very hard to beat this season.
