Lukas Reichel Scores 1st Bruins Goal In Debut

On Thursday at TD Garden, the Bruins hosted the Winnipeg Jets, defeating the Jets 6-1 after they had lost their previous two games. Lukas Reichel made his debut after the Bruins recalled the forward from the Providence Bruins on an emergency basis, scoring his first Boston goal and recording an assist. David Pastrnak, Viktor Arvidsson, and Pavel Zacha also recorded both a goal and an assist. Fraser Minten and Jonathan Aspirot each found the back of the net to help secure the win.

Jeremy Swayman made a total of 23 saves for Boston. Casey Mittelstadt recorded a pair of assists. The Bruins are 38-23-8, and in four straight games, they've had points (2-0-2).

Jonathan Toews scored the lone goal for Winnipeg, and Connor Hellebuyck made 22 saves. The Jets are 28-29-11, and have lost four of their past six (2-3-1).

At 13:37, Lukas Reichel gave the Bruins a 2-0 lead when he took advantage of a favorable bounce off the end boards behind the net after a dump-in by Jonathan Aspirot. Reichel jumped on it and chipped it over Connor Hellebuyck's stick after the bounce caught the goaltender out of position as he went behind the net to play the puck.

Reichel on scoring in his Boston debut: "It's awesome. The crowd is always amazing, even when I played here against the Bruins. Feels even better if you play for them."
